American Girl Fashion Show
We are very pleased to announce a new fundraiser in our 2008-2009 league year. We will be the exclusive host organization of the American Girl Fashion Show in the west-central region of Florida.
The American Girl Fashion Show is a charming tea and fashion show, featuring historical and contemporary fashions for both girls and their dolls. The event gives the audience girl-friendly pieces of fashion-related history that tie into the stories of the American Girl Characters, as well as insight into how fashion can be a way for girls to express their own unique personalities.
At the show, every child receives fun party favors. Fashion Show guests have the opportunity to purchase event-related souvenirs and have special photographs taken. American Girl books may be available for purchase through a local bookseller, and additional American Girl products are provided as door and raffle prizes.
Audiences come away with terrific memories of their American Girl experience and positive feelings about the mission of the host organization, and about helping others in their community.
The first annual JLMC American Girl Fashion Show event will be held at The Polo Grill & Ballroom, in Lakewood Ranch on Saturday, March 21st. Tickets will go on sale in early 2009. Check our website frequently for more information, as this promises to be a very well-attended event and tickets will sell out quickly.
Beer Tasting and Art Auction Fundraiser
This new event is sure to be a huge hit in the community! Gold Coast Eagle Distributors will host this JLMC event, allowing visitors a fun, casual atmosphere to mix, mingle and taste-test a variety of concoctions from Budweiser. The centerpiece of this event will be the Art Auction, an exciting live auction of beautiful art pieces, vacation get-aways, jewelry and other impressive items. You won’t want to miss this event. Tickets will be on sale in the fall. Be sure to purchase your tickets early, as this exclusive event will have a limited number of seats available and tickets will sell quickly.
Sally Foster Gift Wrap Sales
Each year, the women of JLMC offer the beautiful gift wrapping, food, dishes and other Sally Foster products to the community for a limited time – during the month of August. Contact the JLMC office if you would like to purchase products and don’t have a JLMC member living or working near you!
